Girls at Rye benefit from teaching in four purpose-built senior laboratories in the Sumpter building and a junior science laboratory for the younger pupils. Our extensive building project has also included the building of a new Food Technology suite complete with large kitchen and ICT centre housing a comprehensive range of ICT equipment including numerous computers, projector screens, scanners and printers. Recently we completed a spacious, light and welcoming new reception area which is part of a £2m building project to improve facilities at the school. The King Library’s picture windows have one of the best views onto our front lawns – an inspiring place to study. As well as the main school buildings there is a drama and music block, science block, the Food Technology and ICT building and a purpose built sports hall. Within the grounds are two substantial Victorian buildings, one of which was built by the same architect who designed the Natural History Museum, Alfred Waterhouse. At Rye St Antony we are fortunate enough to be situated on a beautifully scenic wooded site that extends to 12 acres, yet we are less than a mile away from Oxford City Centre.
